ALBARAKEH WHEAT Cracked Local Wheat (1kg)

This cracked wheat reminds me exactly of what my grandmother used to cook—it plumps up nicely and has that hearty, satisfying bite that white rice just can’t match. Perfectly coarser than flour but fine enough to absorb all the flavors in my yalanji.

I made a pot of this cracked wheat instead of rice and it came out nutty and surprisingly filling. The grains held their shape well without turning mushy. Good to finally cook something closer to what my grandmother used to make.

I've been swapping this cracked wheat in for rice at dinner, and it soaks up stews beautifully just like the old Levantine way. The texture is hearty and satisfying, and the whole family asks for it now.
